How did I miss your review of Winter’s Bone? That is one of my favourite books ever (the film is ace too by the way). The other Woodrell book I read, the death of sweet mister, as also brilliant and I’ve acquired a couple of others of his too.

A lovely list – and it tells me I’ve some gooduns to look forward to, as I have Maggot Moon and the Bellwether revivals in my TBR.
    Happy new year! :)

I only got round to reading it recently, Annabel. It sat on my shelves for a few years, just waiting for me to find it! Happy New Year to you too. :-)

  3. You’re right about great books not always being 5-star on the first read, instead they are the books that stay with you.
I really want to read Colour of Milk, so glad to see you enjoyed it.

  4. I enjoyed reading your list, I hadn’t come across Winter’s Bone before, sounds like one for the wishlist now. I loved the Carol Rifka Brunt too, and the Colour of Milk. There are others on your list that I’d like to read too, Ketchup Clouds being one. And I finally managed to read The Bellwether Revivals a couple of weeks ago, loved it too.
    Happy New Year Treez! x
