En Vacances…

…but not anywhere in France… off to sunny (ever the optimist!) Kildare for a week or so

No, not that Kildare but the one near Dublin to sample some of the following -

we’re bringing the bikes so we shall do some of this …

and hopefully not run into some of these…

I won’t be having any of this or my vertigo will be even worse!   Slainte and see you in an Irish week’s time…

Hope you have a wonderful break-make that “rest”/”change of scene”…..”break” perhaps not the bset choice of words when bikes are involved!

  5. Have a great holiday – can’t wait to hear about it when you get back. I love Ireland :)

Had a lovely, restful time – lots of reading, cycling, vast amounts of food and some singing too – following some drinking of course! Dublin Zoo, Dublin Viking Tour where our amphibious vehicle went into the canal as well as scaring many passersby with our Viking cries… some shopping at the Kildare Outlet centre (got a beautiful Desigual coat), lunch at Newbridge Silver Restaurant, coffee at Barberstown Castle, Mc Donalds in the Liffey Valley Centre – we sure know how to live it up! ;-) Some great company and lots of peace and quiet – oh and a trip to Easons too to buy Room, Skippy Dies and Ghostlight ( all in their trade paperback format, much lighter on the old wrists).

I must get caught up on a few reviews before heading off to Donegal for the weekend and that will be the last of our Summer outings – ahh… :(
